The Airspace and Procedures Directorate ensures that the Bahamas’ sovereign airspace is managed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with national and international aviation standards.

Designing and Enhancing  the Bahamas’ Airspace

The Directorate is tasked with the development, operation, and continuous improvement of airspace structures and Air Traffic Control (ATC) procedures. Its work ensures that the goals and objectives of air navigation services are consistently achieved, providing a safe and efficient framework for air operations.

By aligning its practices with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Bahamas (CAA-B) Civil Aviation Regulations, ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), and other global best practices, the Directorate reinforces the Bahamas’ role in international aviation.
