At BANSA, two key directorates drive operational excellence:

The Safety Directorate, which builds and strengthens a proactive safety culture through structured risk management and assurance programs.

Safety Directorate

The Safety Directorate leads the development and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS), a structured framework that integrates safety into every aspect of BANSA’s operations.

SMS Implementation & Oversight

Embedding a systematic approach to managing safety across all units.

Just Culture Promotion

Encouraging open reporting and learning while ensuring accountability.

Fatigue Risk Management

Identifying and mitigating risks related to staff fatigue.

Safety Risk Management (SRM)

Proactively assessing and controlling operational risks.

Safety Assurance

Monitoring safety performance and evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives.

Occurrence Reporting

Managing mandatory and voluntary reporting systems to collect and act on safety data.

Quality and Compliance Directorate

The Quality and Compliance Directorate ensures that BANSA maintains full compliance with ICAO regulations and embraces a culture of continuous improvement.

Regulatory Frameworks

Developing policies and guidelines aligned with ICAO standards and supporting their implementation.

Audits & Inspections Including External Audit Liaison

Conducting regular internal audits to uphold compliance. As well as Serving as the primary contact for ICAO and other oversight bodies.

Identifying areas to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
