Overflight  Charges

All civil aircraft transiting The Bahamas’ airspace without landing in or taking off from The Bahamas will be charged a distance-based fee, which will depend on the aircraft maximum take-off weights (MTOW) in accordance with the following table:

The charges will be calculated based on the great circle distance (GCD) between (i) the point of entry into The Bahamas’ sovereign airspace and (ii) the point of exit from The Bahamas’ sovereign airspace.

O/D Terminal Charges

All civil aircraft landing in or departing from The Bahamas will be charged a flat fee, which will depend on the aircraft MTOW in accordance with the following table:

The charges will be levied on a per-flight basis.

Exemptions

The following aircraft are exempted from Air Navigation Services charges:

 

Aircraft engaged in search and rescue operations or in the provision of emergency medical services.

Aircraft performing an emergency landing at an airport other than the airport of its intended destination.

Aircraft operating by private users and powered by a single piston engine.

Aircraft owned or chartered by the Government of The Bahamas.

Aircraft belonging to the armed forces or goverments of ICAO’s member states.

The Bahamas Air Navigation Services Authority is proposing to implement a revision of the charging scheme for air navigation services (ANS) for Reference Period 2 (RP2).
